Bright Sparks Learning Hub is a friendly and supportive tuition centre based at St John’s Parish Centre on the corner of Chequers Road and High Lane in Chorlton.
We offer small group, in-person tutoring with bespoke learning plans tailored to each child’s needs.
Our sessions focus on building core skills in English, maths and science while also developing important life skills such as confidence, teamwork, communication, critical thinking and independent learning. At Bright Sparks Learning Hub, we help children strengthen their skills and thrive in a calm, encouraging environment.

Primary maths and English tuition
Our primary tuition focuses on building confidence in English and maths. Whether your child is catching up or ready for more challenge, we create clear, personalised plans that support them step by step. Sessions are small, calm and carefully structured – with plenty of games, practical tasks and praise along the way.
We cover all areas of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum, including times tables, arithmetic, reading comprehension, spelling and writing. Most importantly, we help children feel proud of what they can do, and ready for what comes next.

11+ tuition for Trafford grammar schools
We provide calm, structured preparation for the Trafford 11+, focusing on the GL-style exams used by local grammar schools. Our small group sessions cover verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths and English comprehension, with a focus on building confidence and understanding - not just ticking off practice papers.
Your child will get regular timed practice, tailored feedback and clear strategies to help them feel ready for exam day. Whether they’re aiming for Altrincham Grammar, Sale Grammar, Stretford or Urmston, we’ll support them every step of the way!

Key Stage 3 maths, English and science tuition
Our KS3 tuition is designed to bridge the gap between primary and GCSE. Whether your child needs help settling into secondary or wants to build on their strengths, we offer calm, focused sessions that support them where they are.
In maths, we cover everything from number and algebra to problem-solving and real-world applications. In English, we build skills in reading, writing and analysis while helping students express ideas clearly and with confidence. In science, we develop understanding across biology, chemistry and physics, encouraging curiosity, clear scientific thinking and the confidence to apply knowledge to practical and exam-style questions.
Every session is tailored, structured and designed to keep progress steady without any pressure.

English, maths and science GCSE tuition
We offer tailored GCSE maths tuition for both Foundation and Higher tier students, covering all major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Every session is designed to meet the needs of the individual, whether that's filling gaps in understanding, boosting confidence or pushing for higher grades.
In GCSE English, we support students studying Language and Literature across all major exam boards. Sessions focus on strengthening reading, writing and analysis skills while building confidence and clarity. Students learn how to approach exam questions, structure responses effectively and revise with purpose rather than guesswork.
For GCSE science, we offer Combined and Triple Science tuition for exam boards AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Sessions focus on securing core knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics while developing strong exam technique. Students learn how to apply scientific understanding to unfamiliar questions, required practicals and exam-style problems with confidence.
